HVHR Starts work on Electric 66 Ford Mustang

High Voltage Hot Rods 66 Mustang EV

High Voltage Hot Rods is starting work on the shops second car for the television show.  A 1966 Ford Mustang coupe with a 289 V8 and power steering was purchased for the project.  The intent of the project is to create a really well driving EV that would be suitable for use as a daily driver by someone who wants more style and class than a Chevy Volt or Nissan Leaf.  Plans are for the car to have updated suspension, power steering, air conditioning, power windows, power locks, an in dash touchscreen, and more speed and power than the original V-8.

Unlike the 1966 Corvair, that was their first project for the show, this car doesn’t yet have an owner.  If you are interested in this car, we encourage you to go to our online store and purchase it or contact HVHR directly.  If the car is sold before the end of filming, then the new owner will have a chance to appear on the television show.
